THIS THURSDAY, February 17, from 7pm to 8:30pm
COME HEAR hear Juan Melendez, who was exonerated and released in
January,
2002 after almost 18 years on Florida's Death Row. This harrowing
story is
also an amazing and inspirational story of redemption and the power
of
faith and love, as told in the first person by a man who survived the
ultimate nightmare.
Also discussing the Florida Death Penalty, the upcoming legislative
session, AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT, will be Abe Bonowitz, former
death
penalty advocate and director of Floridians for Alternatives to the
Death
Penalty (FADP).
This event is FREE and open to the public. Donations to the Florida
Exonerated Prisoner Relief Fund and to FADP to help cover tour
expenses
will be accepted. AbolitionWear will be available!
