TIME TO BALANCE THE SCALES: A DEATH ROW SURVIVOR SPEAKS OUT ACROSS FLORIDA

Juan Melendez, the 24th man exonerated and released from Florida's death row, will join murder victim family members SueZann Bosler and Bill Pelke, and Abe Bonowitz, director of Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (FADP), in a tour which will bring them to most areas of Florida between October 7 and October 22, 2002. At a time when Florida has resumed executions and the death penalty has factored into the upcoming election, these voices of experience bring an often neglected perspective to the growing statewide discussion about the death penalty.

The Florida Innocence Tour will be in the following areas on the dates noted below. Participants are available for radio, television (including radio and TV talk shows) and print interviews in person and by telephone or remote studio locations. Please call 800-973-6548 to schedule an interview and/or to learn of locally scheduled media availability.
