MEDIA ADVISORY FROM FLORIDIANS FOR ALTERNATIVES TO THE DEATH PENALTY (FADP.org)29 January 2003 FADP CONTACT: Abe Bonowitz: 800-973-6548 FADP and ACLU to Hold Press Conference Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty will hold a press conference at 10:30am on Thursday, January 30, at the Tallahassee Media Center. The purpose of the event is to discuss FADP's legislative agenda and related pressing concerns with regard to the death penalty in Florida, including the case of Billy Kelley, the threat by Governor Bush to de-fund the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, the recent release of Rudolph Holton, and more. FADP will also release its comparison of current Florida law and practice to the 85 recommendations for death penalty reform made by Illinois Governor Ryan's Moratorium Commission.
