(Stand by for breaking news regarding and TRANSCRIPT AVAILABLE FADP and the ACLU of Florida held a press conference last Thursday, January 30, at the Tallahassee Media Center. The purpose of the event was to discuss FADP's legislative agenda and related pressing concerns with regard to the death penalty in Florida, including the case of Billy Kelley, the threat by Governor Bush to de-fund the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, the recent release of Rudolph Holton, and more. Many issues were discussed, but perhaps the most topical was the exploration by Larry Spalding of the attack by Governor Bush on the offices of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel -- at a time when the need for these offices, and their success, are abundantly evident.
