Florida continues the premeditated and unnecessary killing of captive prisoners. Governor Charlie Crist has signed a Death Warrant for Martin Grossman. The killing of Martin Grossman is planned for Tuesday, Feb. 16th at 6PM. We grieve with the family of slain Florida Wildlife Officer, Margaret "Peggy" Park and mourn her tragic death 26 years ago.
We join with groups calling for Gov. Crist to halt the execution of Martin Grossman and allow him to present evidence to the Clemency Board that was not heard in court. This evidence could remove his death sentence. Due to new rules, the courts are saying is too late to hold an evidentiary hearing. More info on this is available at the online petition website.
PLEASE SIGN THE ONLINE PETITION ASAP AND FORWARD IT WIDELY!

Amnesty International has issued an “URGENT ACTION APPEAL” for Martin Grossman asking for letters to Gov. Crist ASAP.
STOP THE EXECUTION OF MARTIN GROSSMAN IN FLORIDA

"Martin Grossman, now 45, is due to be executed in Florida at 6 pm on February 16 for a crime committed when he was 19 years old. He was convicted of murder in 1985, and has been on death row for nearly a quarter of a century. There are serious questions about the quality of his legal representation and compelling mental health evidence that was never presented to a jury. Call on Governor Crist to stop this execution. Click here to see the Amnesty Action. |
Here are some of their suggestions:
PLEASE WRITE IMMEDIATELY in English or your own language, in your own words:
- Explaining that you are not seeking to excuse the killing of Margaret Park;
- Noting Martin Grossman’s young age (19) at the time of the crime, and that he has spent 24 years on death row;
- Expressing concern that the jury heard no expert mental health testimony, noting the post-conviction assessment;
- Calling for clemency for Martin Grossman and for commutation of his death sentence.
