Bulletin! New Execution Dates –Tuesday, November 12th, at 6 PM ET
And Tuesday, December 3rd at 6PM ET
Florida continues the premeditated and unnecessary killing of captive prisoners. Governor Rick Scott has ordered the execution of Darius Kimbrough for the 1991 killing of Denise Collins. The homicide of Darius Kimbrough is planned for Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 6PM ET. Gov. Scott has also ordered Askari Muhammad (aka Thomas Knight) to be killed on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6PM ET. Askari is to be executed for killing Richard Burke in 1980.
Please contact Gov. Rick Scott and ask that he convene the Board of Executive Clemency to commute the death sentences of Darius Kimbrough and Askari Muhammad (aka Thomas Knight) to Life in Prison Without the Possibility of Parole. Ask Gov. Scott to suspend ALL executions to conduct a thorough and public investigation into Florida's fatally-flawed government program for the Death Penalty that has wrongfully convicted and sent AT LEAST 24 innocent people to Death Row, far more than any other state (see deathpenaltyinfo.org).
THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY:
Choose one, or all three if you can!
- 1. Write letters and call Governor Rick Scott. Ask him to convene the Board of Executive Clemency to spare the lives of Darius Kimbrough and Askari Muhammad (aka Thomas Knight). Ask Gov. Scott to suspend ALL executions to conduct a thorough, balanced, and public investigation into Florida's wasteful government program for the Death Penalty that has wrongfully convicted and sentenced more people to death than any other state.
