The Florida Moratorium Walk for a Time Out on Executions will begin at Florida State Prison at Starke on Martin Luther King Day (January 21), and will end 143 miles later at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee on February 1, 2002. The main purpose of the walk is to call attention to the unfairness and inaccuracy of Florida's death penalty system as it currently exists. Walkers will deliver thousands of petitions signatures calling for a moratorium on executions in Florida to the Governor and the legislature. For information on joining the Florida Moratorium Walk,
