The Florida Moratorium Walk for a Time-Out on Executions was completed on January 31, 2002, with the delivery of more than 20,000 petitions to the office of Florida Governor Jeb! Bush. On the left, the walkers fill the hallway leading to the office of the Governor. The main purpose of the walk is to call attention to the unfairness and inaccuracy of Florida's death penalty system as it currently exists. Walkers will deliver thousands of petitions signatures calling for a moratorium on executions in Florida to the Governor and the legislature.
