TAKE ACTION: TIME-OUT ON EXECUTIONS!

*Please forward and post widely*

Dear friends,

Florida is preparing for the premeditated killing of another inmate. Governor Charlie Crist signed a Death Warrant for Richard Henyard. This homicide is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 6 pm. We are deeply sympathetic with the family of Dorothy Lewis and mourn the loss of her daughters, Jasmine and Jamilya. We demand swift and sure justice for all violent crimes. Florida’s Death Penalty system is neither swift nor sure. We call for a halt to the outrageously ex pensive, deeply-flawed and failed experiment that is Florida’s execution system. We call on Governor Charlie Crist to resist signing Death Warrants and begin a time-out on executions in order to review the entire Death Penalty system and all of its flaws.

YOUR involvement is critical to halt executions and study the capital punishment system!
