Stay the Execution of Norman Grim

Governor DeSantis has now signed his 15th death warrant of the year — this time for Norman Grim, scheduled to be executed on October 28, 2025. He was sentenced to death for the 1998 murder of Cynthia Campbell. Grim was without state court counsel until four days after his death warrant was signed. His prior defense attorney retired years ago and never officially withdrew, and despite knowing this, the state pushed forward with a death warrant. Now, Grim’s newly appointed counsel has only a few days to review decades of court records and submit their initial filing. This is an unreasonable ask under any circumstances, let alone while facing down an impending execution. This is not justice — it’s a constitutional crisis.

No one should face execution without meaningful legal representation. Add your name today to demand that Governor DeSantis and the Clemency Board stop the execution of Norman Grim.
