25th Florida Death Row Exoneration!

November 4, 2014 by Mark Elliott

Carl Dausch has been added to the Death Penalty Information Center’s list of people exonerated from death rows. He is Florida’s 25th exonerated Death Row survivor (by far the most in the nation). The national total has now reached 147. This comes as Florida is set to execute Chad Banks on Nov. 13. This 8th execution in 2014 would tie the Florida record for most executions in a year. Florida has killed 88 men and women since re-starting executions, while 25 people on our state’s Death Row have been exonerated – nearly one exoneration for every three put to death.
