David Keaton RIP

July 11, 2015 by Mark Elliott

David Keaton was the first exonerated death row survivor of the modern era in Florida and the nation. Dave passed away at home. He is remembered by all who knew him as a kind, gentle, soft-spoken advocate for ending the death penalty. His memory, like his poems and original songs, will live long in the hearts of many. The Tallahassee democrat ran a front-page story on David Keaton. You can read it here: “Quincy Five’s  Keaton, exonerated from death row, dies”
