We, the People: A Record of Florida’s Death Penalty in 2025

December 31, 2025 by FADP

In 2025, Florida executed 19 people — more than at any point in modern history.

We’ve documented what happened, how it happened, and why it matters in our newly released year-end report: We, the People: A Record of Florida’s Death Penalty in 2025.

This report is our public record of a system driven by speed, politics, and indifference to human life — and of the people, families, lawyers, faith leaders, and communities who showed up anyway.

Please take a few minutes to read it.

Also, on January 12, 2026, we hosted a virtual Zoom briefing to take a closer look at what 2025 revealed about Florida’s death penalty system — and to talk through what we’re watching in the year ahead. The recording is available now!

We, The People: FADP’s Year in Review and the Road Ahead

  • Read the report.
  • Watch the briefing.

Share both.
And if you can, donate to help carry this work into the years ahead.

Onward,
The FADP Team
