Monday, November 30 is the World Day of “Cities for Life/Cities Against the Death Penalty” On this date, in 2,000 cities around the globe, people mobilize to renounce the death penalty. “No Justice without Life” will be heard around the world. Churches, Cathedrals, and prominent city monuments will be illuminated and a variety of actions and services will take place.
Florida has joined the effort! On November 30, eight churches and cathedrals will be prominently lighted. Each celebration will be different and may include music, interfaith prayer services, speakers, bell-ringing, etc. All are welcome. Please join an illuminated celebration of life near you and help create more Florida venues for next year’s World day of “Cities for Life, Cities Against the Death Penalty”.
