Florida is blessed with some of the nation’s most powerful, passionate, and compelling first person, direct experience speakers on the death penalty. They include exonerated Death Row survivors, murder victim’s family members, and others with up-close-and-personal involvement.
FADP’s “DON’T KILL FOR ME – Stories of Life Over Death” campaign gives voice to these direct experience storytellers to present statewide personal and powerful testimony to the devastating effects of Florida’s death penalty on all those involved.
Their riveting, rarely heard stories create awareness by the public and policy-makers of the destructive effects of our state’s wasteful, unnecessary, and mistake-ridden death penalty program. These stories initiate meaningful discussions and creative advocacy for significant humane, effective, and cost-saving reforms to our criminal justice system to help repair the harm done to families and communities by violent crime
