New Hampshire Action! Gov. Sununu Vetoes Death Penalty Repeal Bill

July 3, 2018 by Mark Elliott

New Hampshire Action! New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has vetoed a bill that would have ended that state’s Death Penalty. Although the Death Penalty Repeal Bill passed the Republican-controlled legislature by a vote of 223 to 116 in the House and 14 to 10 in the Senate, there may not be enough votes to override the veto. 2/3 of each chamber must vote in favor to override the veto. If you know someone in New Hampshire, you can share this Equal Justice USA Action with them that asks them to contact their lawmakers and override Governor Sununu’s veto.
