Florida’s too flawed to fix death penalty program continues its fall from favor. Recent polling reports a strong majority of Floridians now support the option of life in prison without parole over death by execution for those convicted of murder. The reasons behind this dramatic drop in support continue to increase. Here are some recent examples:
Awareness: Along with pointing out the many flaws of Florida’s death penalty program, FADP continues to create awareness of the huge cost to taxpayers (perhaps more than $100 million) for the potential re-sentencing of nearly 200 people on our Death Row as directed by the Florida Supreme Court.
