Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty

Every life has inherent dignity.

Florida is the most active death-penalty state in the nation. We’re working to change that — through advocacy, education, and direct action.

Take Actions against upcoming executions

Stay the Execution of Dennis Sochor

Stay the Execution of Dominick Occhicone

Stay the Execution of James Duckett

Our mission

Florida deserves better than the death penalty.

The death penalty is irreversible, arbitrarily applied, and disproportionately impacts communities of color and those living in poverty. It does not deter crime — and it costs Florida taxpayers millions more than life imprisonment.

FADP advocates for a just criminal legal system through legislative reform, public education, community organizing, and direct support for those on death row and their families.
